Materuni is one of the few villages of wonder in Northern Tanzania situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. While in the village, the scenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro is astonishing. This authentic village welcomes visitors to explore the beauty of the land and the cultural heritage of Chagga people. Materuni Waterfall is one of the tallest in the area, spewing crystal-clear waters 70m into its basin. The beautiful path leading to Materuni Waterfall is located 2500m above sea level. It crosses valleys and hills covered with tropical rainforests, and coffee, banana, and avocado trees.

Lake Chala is a caldera lake fed by clean, cold underground streams from Kilimanjaro itself, and it is renowned for its gloriously changing colors: from deepest turquoise to emerald green to azure and all colors in between. It is a perfect place to relax, swim in its sparkling waters, or go hiking in the picturesque countryside around the lake.
