NAKUPENDA (Excursion d'une journée complète)

Embarking from Stone Town on a typical African wooden boat with sails and motor, you will visit Prison Island – a name reminding us of the old slave prisons. Here you can walk, swim in the clear waters and sunbathe. The island is also home to beautiful centenarian tortoises that live and reproduce in this tiny natural reserve.

The sea trip will further take you to Funguni where white sand banks with low tides provide an excellent snorkeling spot. Upon arrival, your guide will build the tent to protect you from the sun (bring your sunscreen!) While the fishermen prepare fish, crayfish, lobsters, squids, shrimps, potatoes, and fresh fruits, you can enjoy the calm waters of the oceanon the one side of sandbank, whilw on the other sidewaves will be hitting the shore. Stop by to revel in all shades of blue, or go swimming in the  crystal-clear waters. You can go snorkeling and see multicolor fish and sea stars.

On this beautiful stretch of sand, you can enjoy tasty, traditional Swahili snacks, nicely served along with fruit juices and spiced iced tea. This is a place you will not forget.

Needs: swimming costumes, T-shirt, plastic shoes/slippers, towels, and sunscreen.
